Planned Parenthood is the most trusted women’s health care provider in the country. We have provided birth control, lifesaving cancer screenings, safe abortion, and other high-quality health care for 99 years.  One in five women will rely on Planned Parenthood for health care in her lifetime.  Last year, Planned Parenthood provided these services to 2.7 million patients, as well as sex education to 1.5 million people. In 2013, in Virginia alone, Planned Parenthood saw more than 25,784 patients, helped 17,954 women access contraceptives, and completed 3,128 pap tests, 3,105 breast exams, and 3,016 STD testing and treatment.

Unfortunately, our opponents here in the Commonwealth have a different agenda than allowing all Virginians the right to access affordable, comprehensive reproductive health care. We stand behind these candidates because they understand and embody our mission: Act No Matter What. To act, in order to ensure that the women and men who count on Planned Parenthood can continue to get the care they need, no matter where and no matter what.

Over the next few months that lead up to the election, you can help these candidates win their elections by signing up for grassroots efforts in Northern Virginia.

Planned Parenthood's work is only possible because of people like you, who make this team effort a reality for so many. Thank you for standing with us to keep the Commonwealth of Virginia the great home it is.
