Fighting for You: A Message from Barbara Favola
I, along with my Democratic Senate colleagues made a difference in this last General Assembly Session. We fought to keep K-12 class sizes small, we protected women from the personhood bill, we exposed Bob McDonnell’s invasive and unnecessary ultra-sound bill and we fought for more funding for the Rail to Dulles project. In spite of these challenges, I can truly say it was an honor and privilege to represent you.
You might also want to note how some key groups evaluated my performance. Here it goes: I scored: 80% from the VA Chamber of Commerce, 100% from the VA League of Conservation Voters and 100% from NARAL. Also, I am honored to receive the 2012 Virginia Peters Legislative Hero Award from the Housing Association of Nonprofit Developers, or HAND, for past work in advocating for affordable housing.
