President Obama gave me a "shout out" on Sunday. "I was a State Senator.... --Good to see you, Barbara." This was at a fundraiser for Obama.
Just received a B grade from VA Chamber, the VA League of Conservation Voters gave me the 100% award and am humbled to be honored by HAND.
Today the Senate passed unanimously my first piece of legislation, SB 85, a bill that will expand education grants for students who begin their higher education at community college and transfer to four-year schools.
